About
My mind tends to make connections everywhere. Something I see, hear or experience can trigger a new idea.
I have always experienced this as a natural part of how I think. Recently, I decided to take a closer look at that process. I started taking courses in creative thinking and exploring the tools and methods used to generate, develop and select ideas. Alongside the courses, I started reading books on the subject and how to communicate them effectively.
I discovered that I was already using some of these approaches without really knowing what they were. What the courses and books are giving me is a deeper understanding of creative thinking and more ways to guide my thinking without limiting it.
One thing I am learning is not to dismiss an idea too quickly just because it doesn't seem feasible at first. An idea that doesn't work in its original form can lead to a better one, reveal a different perspective, or be broken down into smaller elements that can be explored and developed.
This is helping me move from spontaneous ideas towards more deliberate concept development. Exploring broadly through divergent thinking, narrowing things down through convergent thinking and developing the ideas that show the most potential using different tools and techniques.
Mind of Marce is where I explore and share that process. The Idea Vault contains some of the ideas that emerge along the way, while the blog explores the thinking, tools and experiments behind them.
The concepts presented here are intentionally at the creative exploration and conceptual development stage. They are not necessarily tested for technical, commercial or operational feasibility. For me, the value lies in exploring the possibilities, developing the idea and seeing where it can lead.
